Bringing the method into organizations

Culture Changes Through Practice

Organizations become what they repeatedly practice.

The Liberation Method™ helps schools, nonprofits, healthcare systems, businesses, foundations, and community organizations build cultures where healing, justice, accountability, and belonging become everyday realities — not statements on a wall.

Created by Desireé B. Stephens, the Method also supports individuals, families, and communities. Every engagement begins by identifying what is hurting, naming the pattern sustaining it, and building practices that make change repeatable.

The Liberation Method™

Education • Somatics • Community

Every engagement is grounded in The Liberation Method™.

Education builds understanding. Somatics support embodied leadership and regulation. Community creates cultures where lasting change can be sustained.

Why change stalls

Many Organizations Have Invested in Awareness. Far Fewer Have Invested in Practice.

The gap between values and culture is rarely caused by a lack of intention. It is often the absence of a repeatable methodology.

Organizations do not need more information. They need practices that make healing, justice, accountability, and belonging visible in everyday organizational life.

The Liberation Method™ helps bridge that gap.

Implementation pathways

What Changes Because of This

Speaking
Inspire shared language and a common vision, so people leave with a way to talk about the work together.
Education & Training
Build practical skills and shared understanding that teams can use the following week, not just remember.
Organizational Partnerships
Support long-term implementation and culture change through sustained practice rather than a single event.
Strategic Advising
Help leadership align systems, policies, and practice with the values the organization has already named.

Readiness

This Work Is for Organizations Committed To

  • Moving beyond performative commitments
  • Building cultures of accountability
  • Supporting sustainable leadership
  • Creating environments where people can thrive
  • Embedding healing, justice, and belonging into everyday practice

What partnership tends to produce

  • Improved team trust
  • Sustainable culture change
  • Stronger leadership practices
  • Greater alignment between values and behavior
  • More effective community engagement

Clear expectations

Scope, timeline, and cost are named openly before any engagement begins. Culture change takes time, and no single session transforms an organization. Transparency is part of the methodology — it supports trust, accountability, and informed decision-making on both sides.

For individuals

Liberation Sessions

A conversation that belongs to you.

Sometimes what you need is not a program, a framework, or a six-week container.

Sometimes what you need is an hour with someone who can hold the whole story — the exhaustion, the patterns, the decisions you keep circling, the things you cannot say out loud anywhere else.

Liberation Sessions are one-to-one conversations with Desireé B. Stephens, CPS-P. In person in Atlanta or online. You bring what you're carrying. We talk. We name what is hurting, the story sustaining it, and what wants to change.

This is a space for:

  • Naming a pattern you keep repeating and can't see the edges of
  • Thinking through a decision, a transition, or a relationship
  • Parents and caregivers navigating diagnoses, school systems, waitlists, and the love and grief that live alongside them
  • Processing what the world is asking of you right now
  • Being heard without being fixed

These sessions are not therapy and not a substitute for licensed mental health or medical care. They are counsel, witness, and practice — one conversation at a time.

How the sliding scale works

You choose what you pay. No proof required. No story owed.

  • $225Sustainer

You have financial ease right now, and paying here helps hold the door open for someone who doesn't.

  • $125Community

Money is a real consideration, and this rate lets you come without strain.

  • $90Supported

    Resources are tight. Come anyway.

Choose the number that reflects your reality this season. It can be different next time. The payment page will let you set any amount between $90 and $250.

For individuals

You Are Not a Project to Fix

One-to-one advising for reclaiming the parts of yourself you had to abandon in order to survive.

Liberation Advising Container™ · Investment begins at $2,500

Many people arrive carrying the belief that healing is something they must earn.

That if they could become more disciplined, more productive, more organized, less anxious, less emotional, or more consistent, life would finally feel manageable.

The result is often familiar:

  • Burnout disguised as ambition
  • Constant self-improvement without self-acceptance
  • Feeling disconnected from your body
  • Chronic guilt around rest
  • Difficulty trusting yourself
  • Repeating patterns you thought you had already healed
  • Living according to inherited expectations instead of your own values

The problem is not that you have failed.

Many of us were taught to survive systems that required us to abandon parts of ourselves.

What was learned can be practiced differently.

Transformation begins with remembering who you were before the world told you who to be.

For families

Families Are Often Carrying More Than One Generation's Story

Work together to name what was inherited and choose what gets passed on.

Family Liberation Container™ · Investment begins at $3,500

Most family conflict is not actually about the argument happening today.

It is about inherited patterns practiced for generations.

  • Silence.
  • Over-functioning.
  • People pleasing.
  • Control.
  • Avoidance.
  • Caretaking.
  • Disconnection.

Families often love one another deeply while lacking the tools to navigate difference, grief, disability, boundaries, identity, and change.

Communities carry what individuals cannot carry alone.

  • Grief.

Many groups arrive exhausted from carrying one another without sustainable structures.

For organizations

Your Organization Is Not Broken

Your systems are producing exactly what they were designed to produce. This partnership helps you design differently.

Organizational Transformation Partnership™ · Investment begins at $7,500

Personal healing and systemic change are the same project — and organizations are where the two meet every day.

Many organizations have been taught that burnout is the cost of excellence. That conflict is failure. That belonging can be created through policy alone. That diversity automatically creates inclusion. That culture change happens because people receive new information.

The results are familiar:

  • Burnout and exhaustion
  • High turnover
  • Trust erosion
  • Change fatigue
  • Leadership misalignment
  • Psychological safety challenges
  • Resistance to equity and culture initiatives
  • Community fragmentation

Organizations are often trying to solve symptoms while the underlying pattern remains untouched.

The good news is that what has been practiced can be practiced differently.

Transformation does not begin with blame.

It begins with understanding.

The framework

The Liberation Diagnostic™

Most organizations do not suffer from a lack of information. They suffer from a gap between what they know and what they practice. The Liberation Method™ helps organizations identify the patterns sustaining dysfunction and create pathways toward sustainable transformation.

Other ways to learn, practice, and participate

One ecosystem. Many ways in.

Direct work with Desireé is one doorway. The ecosystem holds many others.

Founder’s intent

The goal of this work is not to deliver inspiring presentations that are forgotten by the following week.

It is to help organizations develop practices that align their values with their everyday culture.

Every engagement is designed to move beyond awareness toward sustained implementation through Education, Somatics, and Community.

The invitation

Culture Does Not Change Because People Learn New Words

Culture changes because people practice new ways of being together.

The Liberation Method™ provides the framework.

The work is learning how to live it.

Let’s build together.

Start with a conversation. We will name what your organization, community, family, or life is carrying — what is ready to be released, and what practices make the next chapter possible.
