Where Liberation Is Sustained
Liberation is not practiced alone.
Relationship. Belonging. Collective Care.
Healing deepens in relationship. Justice becomes sustainable in community. Belonging is not the reward for transformation — it is one of the ways transformation happens.
The Community is where The Liberation Method™ continues to be lived together. It is held inside The Healing Homestead Collective, a shared ecosystem co-created by Desireé B. Stephens and LadySpeech Sankofa: one community, one level of access, held together by what each person can offer back.
The Collective is part of the work of Selenite & Sage Healing Homestead Co., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your membership sustains that work and includes access to online healing gatherings.
the liberation method™
Education • Somatics • Community
Community is one of the three practices of The Liberation Method™.
Education expands awareness. Somatics embody change. Community sustains liberation over time.
Community is not an accessory to the work. It is one of its essential practices.
why we gather
Transformation rarely happens in isolation
We need places to be witnessed. Places to practice repair. Places to ask difficult questions. Places to celebrate growth. Places to rest.
The Community exists because liberation becomes sustainable when practiced together.

Step Into The Collective
The Healing Homestead Collective is a shared ecosystem co-created by Desireé B. Stephens and LadySpeech Sankofa.
When you join, you step into the whole community.
You do not have to choose between us.
What This Community Invites You To Practice
- Practice gentle accountability — monthly coworking and body doubling at the Homestead, where rest, creativity, and sustainable pacing are all welcome
- Practice reflection — healing circles and gatherings held by both Desireé and LadySpeech
- Practice courageous conversation — spaces to ask difficult questions and stay in relationship
- Practice repair — learning how we tend to harm, conflict, and return
- Practice collective care — a mutual aid ecosystem where need is met without shame
- Practice shared power — decision-making spaces rooted in reciprocity rather than hierarchy
- Practice seasonal living — a rhythm that moves with your capacity, not against it
Each gathering answers one question: what practice does this invite? Most gatherings are included with membership. Individual listings note when separate registration is required. See the full Events calendar →
Begin where you are.

Our rhythm
We gather in rhythm rather than urgency. Some seasons invite more activity. Some invite rest.
Not every gathering is meant for every person. You are invited to return when the timing is right.

Invitation One
Join The Collective
Membership, gatherings, coworking, circles, mutual aid. One community. One level of access. Choose the contribution that fits the season you’re in.
Everyone receives the same. What changes is what you offer back. Pause or change your level at any time.

Join The Messy Middle
The internet gets the educator. This space gets the human. ADHD thoughts, coffee chats, parenting wins and fails, homestead adventures, neurodivergent life hacks — the ongoing practice of healing and liberation with the walls down a little. Some conversations start with a meme and end with nervous systems. That's how it works in here.

Want To Help Sustain The Collective?
For some, membership is enough. For others, there comes a season when helping to hold the work itself calls to them.
The Stewardship Circle exists for those who feel called to help sustain the Healing Homestead Collective, its gatherings, its mutual aid ecosystem, and the physical home where this work lives.
Everything in Collective Membership, plus:
- One private 1:1 hour monthly with Desireé or LadySpeech
- Priority access to limited-capacity offerings
- Direct support of the physical Homestead
Why this exists
Healing-centered spaces require people willing to help hold them.
The Stewardship Circle exists for those who believe liberation work deserves stable foundations.
Capacity
15 Stewardship spaces exist (2 currently filled).
This reflects relational capacity, not exclusivity.
how we practice together
Community Agreements
Community is not an audience. Community is practice. Participation is the point.
The shared agreements that hold this space, how we handle conflict, repair harm, share power, and stay in relationship, are being documented in canonical form. This section will be published in a later phase.

founder’s intent
The Community exists because liberation cannot be sustained in isolation.
Education helps us understand. Somatics help us embody. Community helps us continue.
This is a place where people gather to practice healing, justice, repair, courage, rest, and collective care together over time.
There is no expectation to attend everything. There is only an invitation to return. Again and again. As your practice evolves.
