liberation education academy
Liberation Education Academy
Learn the pattern. Feel it happening. Practice something different.
The Liberation Education Academy is a self-paced somatic learning and practice community for understanding the patterns shaping how you live, relate, lead, and build community.
Learn what your body has been carrying. Develop language for what shaped it. Build the capacity to practice something different.
Education • Somatics • Community
a place to learn. a place to practice. a place to return.
Liberation is not a one-time lesson.
It is a lifelong practice.
The Academy is where The Liberation Method™ comes to life through ongoing education, embodied practice, and community.
You don't have to complete everything. You don't have to move at someone else's pace.
You return to the work as your life changes and notice what becomes possible when what you know begins to change how you live.

what you'll learn to notice
Recognize the Pattern
Sometimes the pattern appears before we have language for it.
- Urgency.
- Defensiveness.
- Bracing.
- Perfectionism.
- Control.
- Collapse.
- Avoidance.
- The need to be right.
- The impulse to disappear.
- The difficulty of receiving feedback.
- The instinct to protect comfort instead of staying with truth.
The Academy helps you notice the pattern while it is happening, not simply understand it afterward.
Understand What Shaped It
Our patterns did not develop in a vacuum.
We learned inside families, relationships, communities, institutions, histories, and systems.
Race shaped those environments. So did patriarchy. Ableism. Colonialism. Capitalism. Extraction. Supremacy culture.
These systems influence what gets rewarded, what gets punished, whose needs matter, how power moves, and what we learn to call normal.
The work is not simply asking:
What do I do?
We also ask:
What taught me to do this?
Practice Something Different
Recognition creates possibility.
Somatic practice helps us develop enough capacity to notice an automatic response without always having to follow it.
Then we practice.
In ourselves. In our relationships. In our homes. At work. In community.
Because liberation that only exists in theory becomes performance.
how you learn inside the academy
Learn. Notice. Practice. Return.
The Academy is designed for learning that moves beyond information.
You encounter an idea. You notice what it reveals. You practice with it. And you return as your life changes.
Structured Learning
Move through self-paced courses rooted in The Liberation Method™.
Current learning includes the 15 Pillars of Supremacy Culture, Somatic Foundations, The LIBERATE Framework©, The Liberation Order©, and The Three Houses of Liberation©.
There are no deadlines for the core self-paced curriculum. Return to lessons as your understanding and practice develop.
Somatic Practice
Bring the body into the learning through guided somatic practices.
Notice sensation, activation, protection, capacity, and the responses that can happen before you have words for them.
Somatics is not an add-on to the curriculum. It is part of how the curriculum is practiced.
Reflection + Integration
Use reflection prompts to connect what you're learning to what you're noticing in your body, relationships, choices, and everyday life.
The goal is not simply to finish a lesson. It is to notice what the lesson helps you see differently.
Practice Your Praxis™
Move the learning into Self • Home • Work & Community.
Ask what the pattern looks like in your actual life. Notice where it appears. Practice another response.
Live + Community Learning
Practice alongside others through scheduled Academy programming, including somatic practice, community gatherings, cohort sessions, and other live learning experiences.
Programming changes throughout the year. The Academy calendar reflects current opportunities to gather and practice together.
Return at Your Pace
You do not have to consume everything. You do not have to keep up. You do not have to prove your commitment by exhausting yourself.
Return when you have capacity. Revisit what you need. Let your understanding deepen.
Pace is part of the pedagogy.
why somatics + oppression cannot be separated
Knowledge alone does not change patterns.
You can understand racism and still become defensive when someone names harm.
You can believe in equity and still hoard power.
You can reject patriarchy and still confuse control with safety.
You can value disability justice and still organize around urgency and productivity.
You can believe in community and still reach for individualism when relationship becomes difficult.
Knowing matters.
But knowing is not the same as embodying.
The gap between what we understand and what we embody is where the Academy works.
Education helps us understand the histories and systems shaping the pattern.
Somatics helps us recognize learned bodily responses, protective adaptations, and relational patterns while they are happening.
Community gives us somewhere to practice another way of being together.
We learn to recognize how these systems live through us so we can stop reproducing them between us.
That is where awareness becomes embodied practice.
you may already know the pattern
The 15 Pillars of Supremacy Culture
The Liberation Method™ uses the 15 Pillars of Supremacy Culture as a diagnostic tool for recognizing patterns that can appear in ourselves, relationships, organizations, and communities.
Not as a list of bad people.
As patterns we can learn to notice.
Sense of Urgency
Everything feels like it has to happen now.
Perfectionism
A mistake feels dangerous.
Defensiveness
Feedback feels like an attack.
Power Hoarding
Sharing control feels unsafe.
Right to Comfort
Discomfort feels like something that must immediately be removed.
These patterns have histories. They can also have bodily responses.
The work is learning to recognize both, and developing practices that make another response possible.
where the practice lives
Personal and collective transformation cannot be separated.
Liberation has to become something we practice in the places where we actually live.
Self
Notice how history, identity, conditioning, wounds, protection strategies, and learned patterns shape how you move through the world.
Home
Explore how power, care, boundaries, gender, parenting, partnership, conflict, tradition, and repair move through our closest relationships.
Work
Examine leadership, accessibility, harassment, workplace culture, supremacy culture, decision-making, power, and organizational norms.
Community
Practice reciprocity, accountability, shared responsibility, belonging, repair, and collective care.
These are not four separate kinds of liberation.
They are places where the same patterns may take different forms.
Your whole life becomes a place to practice.
community is where the work is tested
Liberation is not practiced alone.
Inside the Academy, learning becomes relationship.
Reflection becomes conversation.
And practice has somewhere to meet difference.
Community gives us opportunities to notice what happens when someone disagrees with us. When we receive feedback. When impact and intention do not match. When someone needs a boundary. When we need repair. When sharing power becomes more difficult than talking about it.
Academy community spaces support discussion, reflection, shared learning, and opportunities to practice alongside others.
Membership also includes access to scheduled Academy programming throughout the year. Current programming may include somatic practice, community gatherings, cohort sessions, and other live learning experiences.
Programming changes throughout the year. The Academy calendar is the source of truth for current live opportunities.
Community is not simply where the work happens. Community is one of the places the work is tested.
choose your reciprocity
Same Academy. Different capacities to contribute.
The Academy's Community Practice Membership operates on a reciprocity model.
All five contribution levels receive the same core Academy experience. There is no premium version of belonging.
Higher contributions help sustain accessible pricing, continued curriculum development, accessibility supports, community programming, and the long-term stewardship of this work.

frequently asked questions
Questions held with care
Is this a course platform?
No. The Academy contains courses, curriculum, somatic practices, reflections, community, and live learning, but it is designed as an ongoing practice environment rather than a collection of disconnected courses. You return as your life and practice change.
What learning is available now?
The Academy currently includes published learning in the 15 Pillars of Supremacy Culture, Somatic Foundations, LIBERATE in Practice, The Liberation Order©, and The Three Houses of Liberation©, along with somatic practices and reflection prompts. The curriculum continues to grow.
Do I need experience with somatics or anti-oppression education?
No. Some members arrive looking for language for things they have already been noticing. Others have years of experience and want to deepen their embodied practice. Start where you are.
Is the Academy self-paced?
The core learning environment is designed for self-paced participation. You can move through courses and return to practices and reflections according to your own capacity and rhythm. Live programming is scheduled separately and changes throughout the year.
How much time do I need?
There is no required weekly pace for general Academy participation. Some seasons may hold more capacity than others. The goal is not to consume as much content as possible. The goal is to practice.
What is the difference between Community Practice and Professional Learning?
Community Practice Membership is for people participating in the Academy for personal, relational, community, and general learning. Professional Learning is for individual professionals who also need the additional infrastructure associated with professional development and future qualifying continuing education.
Why does Professional Learning cost more?
Professional learning requires additional infrastructure for assessment, participation records, documentation, credential administration, and continuing-education compliance where applicable. The difference reflects that professional infrastructure, not a difference in the value of the people participating.
Does Professional Learning guarantee CE credit?
No. CE eligibility will depend on the specific course, active approval, and learner profession. Qualifying courses will be clearly identified when approvals are active.
Do all Community Practice contribution levels receive the same access?
Yes. Every Community Practice contribution level receives the same core Academy experience. The difference is financial reciprocity.
Can I change my contribution level later?
Yes. Your contribution can change as your circumstances change. If you need to adjust your membership level, contact us for support. Contact us →
Are certification and facilitator training included?
No. Facilitator preparation, certification, professional licensing, intensive programs, consulting, and organizational services are separate advanced offerings.
What happens after I join?
You'll create or use your existing account, complete the current Academy onboarding flow, and gain access according to the existing membership entitlement system.
